Network Group hits record-breaking fundraising for Target Ovarian Cancer

Last month, Network Group (NG) proudly announced our support for Target Ovarian Cancer (TOC) at our annual Exhibition, Gala & Awards.

We went to the Membership to request nominations for this year’s charity partner, with Sean Jones stepping forward to nominate TOC in memory of his late wife Mandy.

Sean bravely shared his story with his peers, describing his beloved Mandy as ‘kind as an angel, patient, and sharp as a knife’. Heartbreakingly, Mandy’s life was taken too soon by ovarian cancer. Aptly described by Sean as ‘a silent killer’, with many women, including Mandy, not being diagnosed until stage four. As a result, the treatment is often palliative.

We’re truly humbled by Sean’s vulnerability and openness with the Group, and we’re thrilled to share we raised £15,657 for TOC on the night. This money will go towards helping achieve early diagnosis, investment in research, and support for families.

Sean himself kicked off the fundraising, donating €1000 directly to TOC, followed by NG Member Steven Lightfoot putting his Heads & Tails prize back up for auction, won by our Chairman Perry Ashby for an additional £500.

Prizes up for grabs included:
A round of Golf at Bowood’s PGA 18-hole championship course donated by MSP Finance Team
