Back at our Vision event in January, AI was a one of the leading topics across our sessions, from how to monetise it, to contracts in the AI era and how to protect your business. So, with AI dominating conversations across our community and the industry, let’s continue the conversation here …
There’s no shying away from AI anymore whether it’s in business or our daily lives. When it comes to clients, what’s often being recognised across our community is awareness of AI is high, but understanding is often not, with a mixture of both curiosity and concern when it comes to using it within their business …
· Do they need AI?
· Is it secure?
· Are they falling behind?
· What are the risks?
The opportunity here for MSPs is not just to deploy new tools that shout about being ‘powered by AI’, but to also provide clarity.
AI is already working in the background of many services, supporting threat detection in security platforms, improving monitoring systems and strengthening reporting. When used well, it can mean faster ticket resolution, more proactive support, improved threat visibility and clearer business insight.
Adding value for clients
The most successful MSPs are the ones demonstrating the impact AI can have. Clients don’t need, or want more technical jargon. They need plain language explanations, practical examples and honest conversations about where AI adds value and where it doesn’t.
There are some valid concerns around data privacy, governance, ethical use and accuracy. Addressing these openly is what separates a supplier from a trusted adviser. By putting policies in place, reviewing data handling and guiding responsible use, MSPs can bridge the gap between overt hype and reality.
AI awareness is already here, and its value comes from helping clients use it safely, effectively and with purpose. By working together, sharing insight and challenging each other on best practice, our community is well placed to lead that conversation and turn interest into long term trust.
